Did you get a CD/DVD stuck in your Macbook, and all you could find when searching the net for tips on how to get it out were articles on how to get CDs and DVDs out of computers with CD/DVD-drives that you can actually open? Here's a tip that works and at the same time is very unlikely to harm your Macbook (although there is always a risk).
Steps :
Steps :
- Take a piece of paper or thin cardboard. It should be big enough so that you can insert it quite far into the drive and still hold well onto it. Actually, a DVD cover works well (removed from the plastic obviously).
- Insert the paper approximately 5 cm into the drive, on top of the CD, while holding onto it from outside.
- Press the eject button while the paper is still inside.
- If it doesn't work the first time around, it might actually help to just hold the computer so that the opening of the drive faces down.
Warnings :
There is a chance that this might harm the drive/computer, but being paper the chances are probably slim of that happening.
Things You'll Need :
- a Macbook with a CD/DVD stuck inside...
- a piece of paper, thin cardboard or a DVD cover-page.
